Work-based learning (BBL)

Work-based learning, known in Dutch as the beroepsbegeleidende leerweg or BBL, is a form of vocational education where the student works four days a week at an accredited training company and attends school one day a week. The student has an employment contract with the employer and receives a salary. Employers offering a BBL placement may be eligible for government subsidies such as the praktijkleersubsidie.
