WAZO benefit self-employed Netherlands

The WAZO benefit for self-employed people is the official name for what everyone calls the ZEZ benefit. WAZO stands for Wet arbeid en zorg (Work and Care Act), the Dutch law that regulates maternity leave for both employees and self-employed people. As a self-employed entrepreneur in the Netherlands, you are entitled to at least 16 weeks of maternity leave with a benefit under this law.
