Min-max contract

A min-max contract is a flexible employment contract in which both a minimum and a maximum number of hours per week are agreed. The worker knows what they will earn at minimum but can also work more hours up to the agreed maximum. From 1 January 2027, stricter rules are expected to apply: the difference between the minimum and the maximum may be no greater than 1 to 3. If someone works a minimum of 10 hours per week, the maximum may not exceed 30 hours.
