Healthcare allowance (zorgtoeslag)

Healthcare allowance (zorgtoeslag) is a monthly government contribution to make health insurance premiums affordable for lower-income households. Anyone with Dutch income and a Dutch basic health insurance policy may be entitled to it. The amount depends on your income and that of a possible allowance partner. If your income fluctuates as a freelancer, adjust the allowance immediately when earnings change to avoid large repayments.
