Cooling-off period

The cooling-off period is the timeframe within which a consumer can withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. In the Netherlands and the rest of the EU, the cooling-off period is at least 14 days from receipt of the product or conclusion of a service agreement. If a webshop fails to correctly inform the consumer about this right, the period can be extended to a maximum of 12 months.
