The cancellation button is a mandatory digital button that allows consumers to cancel an online purchase or service within the legal cooling-off period of 14 days. From 19 June 2026, all webshops and online service providers in the EU must offer this button. The principle is that cancelling must be as easy as buying. An email address or downloadable form is no longer sufficient.
